Hi Neighbors!
After a long cold Winter, I know many of us are looking forward to the warm weather dog walks, playground activities at the beach with the kids and getting out on the lake.  Our community really comes alive this time year as we host family and friends out to the lake.  With the community in mind, we have several upcoming events that will enable you to connect with your neighbors and make new friendships.  

1. Spring Work Party, Saturday April 25 from 9 - noon  Many hands make a light load!  And the work is light...spread some mulch, sip some coffee and a bit of a doughnut.  Pick some sticks or pull a weed or three...have another sip. 
2. General Membership Meeting, Tuesday May 5th at the Beach at 7:00pm.  We will shrink our normal agenda to cover only the top topics quickly and then adjourn to start a Cinco de Mayo social party. BYOB
3. 3rd Annual Lighthouse Food Drive, June 13th.  This is a wonderful opportunity for our community to give to those in need.  It's also a teaching opportunity to get your kids involved in a process that teaches them the importance of charity, kindness, giving and helping others.  Let's make this one another record setting year for Shady Beach.  If your children need community service hours for school, we'll be happy to count the hours and sign. 

Clean Docks!!!  Huge shout out to Rafael and Alanzo Larraurio for powering washing all the docks.  They look great and we greatly appreciate all the hard work ya'll put in.

 

1) Please drive slow and be courteous to drivers on our narrow streets.
2) Please tell your guests to drive slow when they come out to the lake.
3) If you are walking/jogging at dusk or night, wear reflective gear, use a flashlight.
4) Please pick up your dog's poop.
5) Don't leave any trash at the beach, park or marina.
6) If you have multiple guests driving multiple cars and plan to boat, please keep the cars at your house and don't block up things at the Marina.
